jewelry care

Your Cuffed pieces should be cared for carefully to maintain the beauty and finish on the item as long as possible.  Our gold items are either gold filled or heavily gold plated. Our silver items are either heavily silver plated or pure sterling silver. Please read the individual item’s description to understand its metal make up.

General Jewelry Care:

  1. Wipe your jewelry regularly with a soft jewelry cloth (not a polishing cloth). If needed, clean with warm soapy water.

  2. Store in a cool, dry area and store each item separately (when traveling, wrap separately) if possible.

  3. Do not wear while sweating or swimming.

  4. Perfumes, oils, lotions, etc. can cause tarnishing. Avoid applying these after putting jewelry on (apply prior and allow to dry first).

Material Specific Care:

  • .925 Sterling Silver (or .925 Sterling Silver based items) is more sensitive to light, air, and salt than other metals. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid excessive exposure to air and light during storage.

Cuffs are one size fit all and are adjustable.  To make the cuff smaller, squeeze both ends of the cuff together on the bottom side of your wrist until they are almost touching (about 3cm apart).  Do not worry about squeezing too tight, as the cuffs are steel based and will not break.  Reopen ends to remove.

Please avoid wearing any of our items with small parts around infants and toddlers as these can be choking hazards. Necklaces and earrings with removable charms should be kept away from children’s reach.  For those with nickel allergies, please note cuffs and rings are stainless steel based, which may contain less than or equal to 8% nickel.  The steel is then plated with gold / silver / rose gold so the Nickel is not in direct contact with skin.
